Who We Are!
Ms. Griffin is a graduate of Norfolk State University. She is Montessori certified through the National Center for Montessori Education, (AMS). Ms. Griffin has worked with children in various settings for over 15 years. She has four (4) wonderful children and an awesome grandson. She is pursuing her graduate studies in Education at Regent University. Ms. Griffin is also a Girl Scout Troop Leader (Troop 1549) and an active member in her community. She loves gardening, exercising, and cooking for her family.
Debbie Lancaster will be joining our team in September, 2011. She brings to the program over 15 years of educational experience working in both public and private educational institutions. Her degree in Art Education is not only an asset to our primary program, but our before/after school students as well.
Anita Scott brings over 10 years of early childhood experience to the environment, working as an outstanding assistant to Ms. Griffin. She is certified in Early Childhood Education. She is continuing her studies in Early Childhood , working towards her B.S. Degree. Ms. Nita has two (2) children and one(1) grandson.
Rashell Hobbs is our Teachers' Assistant. Miss Rashell will be pursing a degree in Early Childhood Education at TCC this upcoming Fall. Her loving, peaceful, calming approach towards children and education is truly a plus to the prepared environment.
LaDawn Griffin has graced the academy with her professionalism and smiles as the office manager for three (3) years. She also works in the after school program with our Program II students (6-12 years old). She is currently attending Norfolk State University majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies. Miss LaDawn is the proud mom of Nazzir, 2. She cheers for the Hampton Roads Hurricane and loves it.
Shanna Johnson is our Teachers' Assistant in our after school program. She is currently attending high school at Booker T. Washington. Miss Shanna loves working with children and plans to attend Norfolk State University upon graduation.
